To this end, one of the challenges facing retailers is to improve their conversion rate by avoiding interruptions in the payment journey, caused by a strong authentication process often perceived as a step that can create friction. What are the solutions then for reducing shopping cart abandonment and boosting your revenue?   **An optimized payment journey with Safe’R By CB!** CB, France’s N°1 card and mobile payment network, has developed this innovative program based on the 3-D Secure v2 protocol to optimize the benefit of strong authentication exemptions while controlling the risk of fraud. For transactions under €250, it thus allows eligible HiPay merchants to achieve up to 95% frictionless 3-D Secure, enabling them to offer an uninterrupted shopping experience thanks to simplified, passive authentication that minimizes end-customer intervention. As Renan Le Bot, CB’s Director of Distribution and Sales Promotion, points out: *“Safe’R By CB is a service from the ’R By CB offering, providing all e-merchants who benefit from it with a smooth, secure payment journey without Strong Customer Authentication. It offers merchants the promise of a significant, risk-free increase in their frictionless rate, and thus in their revenue.”*   **ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:** To benefit from Safe’R By CB with HiPay, you must meet several criteria: - carry out CB transactions through Fast’R By CB, - maintain a low fraud rate, - send the data required by CB in the 3-D Secure authentication protocol, - express a preference for frictionless at the authentication stage. This program has two levels: - for CB payments between €0 and €100, - for CB payments between €100 and €250, with more stringent requirements. | Prerequisites | CB payments up to €100 | CB payments between €100 and €250 | | --- | --- | --- | |  Transaction volume |  120,000+ CB CIT transactions per year through Fast’R By CB | | |  Merchant’s monthly fraud rate* |  < 0.11% over 4 full months,  in the last 6 months |  < 0.05% each month | |  Eligibility for Acquirer TRA |   Not mandatory | Mandatory | |  Data required for 3D Secure protocol** |  Send at least the end-customer’s IP address and 3 other data | | *Calculated monthly by CB on the basis of declarations received by CB Issuing banks. **Required by CB, these contextual data include the end-customer’s IP address used for the order, and 3 of the following 5 data: -            Email address, -            Phone number, -            Billing or delivery address/postcode, -            Shipping indicator, -            Cardholder account age indicator.   Safe’R By CB applies to all your CB payments for Customer Initiated Transactions (CITs). However, subscriptions and recurring/installment payments are excluded from the program, in accordance with the PSD2 directive.
