Kun DU is Product Manager in the Business Intelligence team, part of the Post-Payment and Data division at HiPay, which includes 4 experts in charge of Finance, Reconciliation, Data (Business Intelligence + Data Science) and DevOps.
This covers everything that happens after payments have been made, for example:
- how HiPay allocates funds to the right merchant accounts after receiving payments,
- the settlement amounts for merchants,
- reports specific to merchants.
As the Business Intelligence team’s go-to PM, Kun uses her expertise to understand the data needs of the various teams at HiPay and of our merchants, then prioritizes and plans their realization.
She also works daily with the BI developers to set up indicators, alerts and reports to help the various teams make informed decisions.

For this question, let’s focus on the Business Intelligence team, where continuous performance optimization translates into several key actions every day:
- the BI team works closely with other teams to understand their needs and provide them with analyses that help them achieve their objectives. This includes creating indicators, dashboards, automating reports and setting up alerts to help other teams optimize their performance;
- we work in Agile mode, which enables us to adjust our strategies rapidly and react to emerging trends. This proactive approach ensures that we continue to optimize our performance and add value to the company.
Can you give us an example of a challenge you’ve met to better serve our merchants?
We have developed a data tool for our merchants called HiPay Intelligence to optimize our merchants’ payment data and better understand end-customers by analyzing various aspects, for example:
- transaction lifecycle,
- fraud management,
- conversion rates, etc.
To conclude, any advice to our merchants for optimum results?
For our merchants to continually improve their business and increase their revenues, it’s important to use the performance indicators set up by HiPay.
For example, we have the “Transaction Life Cycle Detailed” dashboard, which gives you an overview at a glance of the evolution of transaction volumes in their various statuses.
We also have the “Device Type Analysis” dashboard, which gives you an overview of the distribution of devices used for your transactions. This analysis can help you get a more accurate picture of your end-customers, so you can adapt your marketing campaigns and web strategies.
